  DOCUMENTARY SERIES

WordLoveAfrica is the first in our new series of documentary films created and produced by Donna Williams of DWD Productions.  WordLoveAfrica will link a Vancouver school with an African school. Our aim is to use education and creativity to support the healing of children in a school in Lesotho, South Africa. Onside are the Ottawa based NGO, Help Lesotho, and in Vancouver our local NGO, Rose Charities.

Through words, and art the documentary film series will follow the unfolding communication between children from two elementary schools of different cultures.

Each year a new film is planned to connect Canadian children with children who have experienced crisis in another country. These one hour films will be used for international broadcast, distribution in schools, healthcare organizations, and for humanitarian and peace building efforts.

The original 2006 WordLoveWorldLove film connected Cleveland Elementary in North Vancouver BC, Canada with Maha Vishnu Elementary in tsunami- stricken Kalmunai, Sri Lanka. To watch the trailer and purchase a DVD of the original film, visit www.avantipics.com

The film was produced by Avanti Pictures Corporation with the support of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), TVOntario, M-Channel, BC Arts Council, Private Sponsors, Student Fundraising, and with Local Partner NGO, Rose Charities.
