  VISION

The WordLoveWorldLove Project connects children with children in a global exchange of messages of friendship and
compassion.   Through the simplicity of words children
discover they can influence their own lives and the lives of others.

“That’s where things will really change in the world when children find and understand that they can really make a
 difference.”

 Erica Krutzen, Art Therapist

Words can make a difference when connecting children to children who have experienced crisis. Communicating by sending messages to other countries can promote healing, peace and understanding.  Words are a way children can adventure into the global community.

Through an interactive Wordshop of drawings, stories,
photographs and videos, children gain an understanding of children’s experiences in different cultures. They begin to
feel compassion for children who have experienced
crisis in another country, and are then able to choose
a kind, supportive or encouraging word to send.
These positive words translate into another language. Art illustrates the words. Video gives them a face and voice.

The WordLoveWorldLove Project recognizes children’s natural inclination to help others, dissolve differences, and embrace similarities. Connecting through words, art and video can nurture, heal, and help rebuild lives after
crisis.
